27 Press and release the h button, to change the display and stop it flashing. It doesn’t matter
what time it shows, as you’re not going to use the timer.
28 Press and release the [ button.
29 AUTO will show on the display, and the light will glow red – ignore them.
30 Press and release the [ button again.
31 The light will glow green and the coffee maker will start up.
32 Shortly afterwards, coffee will start to drip into the carafe.
33 When it’s done, the hotplate will keep the carafe warm.

34 Set the clock to the correct time.
a) Press and release the h button until the correct hour is shown
b) Press and release the min button until the correct minute is shown
c) The display will show AM for morning, and PM for afternoon.
35 Set the timer to the time you want to start brewing.
a) Press the T button, and keep it pressed in.
b) TIMER will show on the display.
c) Press and release the h button until the correct hour is shown
d) Press and release the min button until the correct minute is shown
e) The display will show AM for morning, and PM for afternoon.
f) Release the T button.
g) Press the [ button once.
h) AUTO will show on the display, and the light will glow red.
, If you overshoot, you can’t step back. Either go right round (24 hours or 60 minutes), or
unplug the coffee maker, to reset the display to 12:00.
36 The clock will retain its settings until the coffee maker is unplugged. It will reset to 12:00 next
time you plug it in.

37 That’s it – leave it alone till the preset time comes round, and it makes your coffee – don’t
fiddle with it, you might upset it.
38 At the time you set, the light will change from red to green, and the coffee maker will start up.

39 If you forget what time you’ve set it to, pressing the timer button will change the display to
show you the time you’ve set it to.
40 Remember to press the [ button after you’ve set the time, to bring AUTO up on the display,
or the timer won’t start working.
a quick cup
41 If you want a quick cup of coffee before the brewing cycle has finished:
42 You can remove the carafe at any time. The non-drip valve will prevent coffee dripping on to
the hotplate.
43 To prevent the filter holder overflowing, replace the carafe on the hotplate within about 20
seconds. This may not sound much, but you’ll find it’s more than enough time to pour a
couple of cups of coffee.
44 When you replace the carafe on the hotplate, the non-drip valve opens, to let any remaining
coffee through.

45 The hotplate will keep the coffee hot for two hours – the light will stay at green to remind
you it’s still on. After two hours, it’ll turn all heating off.
