3 If the pressure in the domestic water supply is greater, fit a pres-
sure reducer and limit the water pressure to <6bar.
4 Connect the cold water inlet to the hot water storage tank
(Fig. 3-1, item 1).
INFORMATION
Above a hardness level of >3mmol/l, we recommend also
fitting a dirty water filter that can be back-flushed into the
cold water connection.
5 Connect the connections to the hot water distribution network
(Fig. 3-1, item2).
6 Make connections to the oil condensing boiler using the
DRTANKCOKITA storage tank connection set.
7 Carefully lag the hot water pipes to prevent heat loss. Install the
heat insulation in accordance with country-specific guidelines.
The manufacturer recommends an insulation thickness of at
least 20mm.
4.3 Filling / Topping Up
INFORMATION
Any optional accessories must be fitted before filling.
INFORMATION
The heat exchanger must be filled before the hot water
storage tank.
4.3.1 Hot water storage tanks
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
Touching live parts can result in an electric shock and lead
to potentially fatal injuries and burns.
If there is an electric immersion heater or an external
current anode installed in the hot water storage tank,
these components must be isolated from the power sup-
ply before starting work (e.g. fuse, main switch switched
off and secured against inadvertent switching on again).
1 Open all water outlets to vent the system.
2 Open the cold water pipe valve.
3 Check the system for leaks.
4 When the system is vented, close all water outlets.
