8 Inspection and maintenance
Regular inspection of the hot water storage tank guarantees a long
service life and fault-free operation.
An external current anode is only necessary if the filling water is very
hard and contains chloride (>/= 250mg/l). Please contact your local
water supply company for further information.
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
Touching live parts can result in an electric shock and lead
to potentially fatal injuries and burns.
If there is an electric immersion heater or an external
current anode installed in the hot water storage tank,
these components must be isolated from the power sup-
ply before starting work (e.g. fuse, main switch switched
off and secured against inadvertent switching on again).
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
All work performed on live components must be carried out
in accordance with the proper procedures, otherwise there
may be a danger to the life and health of personnel and the
function may be impaired.
Rectification of damage to live components may only be
carried out by heating specialists authorised and recog-
nised by the energy supply company.
8.1 Annual inspection
If present:
Carry out a functional inspection of the electric immersion heater
by checking the temperature display and the switching states in
the individual operating modes:
Electric immersion heater: See the associated installation and
operating instructions.
Visual inspection of the general condition of the hot water storage
tank.
Visual check of connections and pipes. In the event of damage,
determine the cause.
1 Replace defective parts.
Check all electrical components, connections and cables.
2 Repair damaged parts or replace them.
Check the water pressure of the cold water supply (<6bar)
3 and, if necessary, the fitting or setting of the pressure reducer.
8.2 Cleaning
INFORMATION
It is recommended that the stainless steel accumulator is
cleaned by a specialist every two years at the latest.
