8 | English 1 609 92A 0VB 2.6.14
Position the laser receiver in such a manner that the laser beam can
reach the reception area 1. If the rotational laser has several rotational
speeds, set to the highest speed possible.
Switching On and Off
A loud audio signal sounds when switching on the measuring tool.
Therefore, keep the measuring tool away from your ear or other
persons when switching on. The loud audio signal can cause hearing
defects.
To save energy, only switch the measuring tool on when you are using it.
–To switch on the measuring tool, press the On/Off button 2. An audio
signal sounds and all display indicators light up briefly.
–To switch off the measuring tool, press the On/Off button 2 again. This
is confirmed by a double beep.
When no button is pressed on the measuring tool for approx. 5 –8 minutes
and when no laser beam reaches the reception area for 1 5–8minutes,
the measuring tool automatically switches off to save the batteries. The
switching off is indicated by an audio signal.
Selecting the Setting of the Centre Indicator
Button 3 is used to set the measuring accuracy (coarse, medium or fine),
with which the laser beams are received in the reception area 1.
–Press button 3 as often as required until the desired measuring accura-
cy is indicated on the display 6.
When changing the accuracy setting, a single, two or three beeps sound,
depending on the selected setting.
The accuracy setting is stored when switching off the measuring tool.
Direction Indicators
The display 6 has 7 separate reception channels, which indicate the posi-
tion of the laser receiver with reference to the laser plane. The closer the
laser beam comes to the centre mark of the laser receiver, the more bars
are indicated in direction indicator f and d.
Direct the reception area 1 toward the rotational laser.
Slowly move the detector upward or downward until the direction indi-
cators f and d appear on display 6 and/or an audio signal can be heard.
According to the working conditions and the requested accuracy, se-
lect the sensitivity with button 3.
Move the laser receiver upward when direction indicator d is lit (with
the speaker volume on, a slow pulsing audio signal is heard). Move the
laser receiver downward when direction indicator f is lit (with the
speaker volume on, a fast pulsing audio signal is heard). When the cen-
tre of the reception area 1 is reached, the centre mark on display 6 is
indicated and a continuous audio signal is heard.
Memory Function
If the laser beam leaves the reception area, the last laser beam position is
saved.
Electronic Filter
The electronic filter protects the laser receiver against bright sunlight and
electromagnetic interference.
Working Advice
Attaching with the Holder
With the holder 10, the measuring tool can be fastened to a construction
laser measuring rod (accessory) as well as to other auxiliary tools with a
width of up to 65 mm.
Screw the holder 10 to the retainer opening 8 on the rear side of the
measuring tool with fastening screw .
Loosen the locking screw 11, slide the holder onto the construction la-
ser measuring rod , for example, and retighten the locking screw 11.
The upper edge 9 of the holder is located at the same height as the centre
mark and can be used for marking of the laser beam.
Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Keep the measuring tool clean at all times.
Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning
agents or solvents.
When heavily contaminated, the measuring tool can be cleaned under
running water. Do not immerse the measuring tool in water and do not
subject it to a high-pressure water jet.
Note: Allow the measuring tool to dry completely before storing it in a
closed casing. Otherwise, vapours can develop in the closed case due to
residual moisture, leading to corrosion of the battery contacts. In this
case, warranty claims shall be rendered void.
After-sales Service and Application Service
In all correspondence and spare parts orders, please always include the
10-digit article number given on the type plate of the measuring tool.
