LONG PERIODS OF STORAGE
Store the machine in a dry environment, sheltered from the elements and, if possible, covered up. If the
mower will not be used for a long period (more than one month), disconnect the red battery lead and
follow the directions given in the engine manual; in addition grease all the joints. Check regularly that the
battery voltage has not dropped below 12.5 Volts and if necessary, recharge it.
TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE
If the Rotavator has to be transported on a lorry or a trailer, fasten it to the vehicle using ropes or cables.
IMPLEMENTS
CAUTION: Before fitting the tines assembly or wheel extensions to the tiller shaft (fig. 2A no. 8), check
that the shaft and the inside of the accessory to be mounted are perfectly clean. After having fitted the
accessory to the shaft, tighten the fixing screws thoroughly. The tilling depth can be increased or
reduced by lowering or raising the rear spur. Turn the tip of the spur forward when working in hard,
compacted ground; turn back when the soil is not very firm (fig. 7).
PLOUGHS
The ploughs designed for the rotavator Grillo 12000 (fig. 10) have been especially developed to obtain
good ploughing without over-straining the operator. Two models are available: single furrow plough and
180° roll-over plough. The latter is especially suitable when working forwards and backwards, such as
along rows of vines or fruit-trees. The depth of the furrow may vary from 10 to 15 cm depending on the
soil. The plough must be fitted behind the tiller on the adjustable implement-holder (fig. 8) by simply
removing the spur support, pulling the split-pin and the pin. Then fit the implement-holder and replace
the pin. It is also necessary to remove the two tiller assemblies (fig. 9) then install the wheel extensions
and finally connect the 5.00×10 wheels.
