Database search on the CMP-2000

After having created a database on your USB device with the Database Builder, you can connect the data

carrier to the CMP-2000 and search through your music library quickly and efficiently.

1 Call the system settings with the button TIME and select one of the search criteria from the first menu

item “Playlist“. You can search by title name, artist, album or genre. Exit the system settings.

2 In order to search the USB device’s database, first activate the folder selection mode with the button

FOLDER [] (control LED lights).

3 If you have selected the search criterion Artist in the system settings for example, now all artists found

in the database will be displayed in alphabetical order. Now select the desired artist by:

• either keeping the press control TRACK [] pressed while turning it at the same time

• or keeping the press control TRACK [] pressed and turning the jogdial.

4 Press the button FOLDER [] (control LED extinguishes) to switch back to title selection mode. Now

you can browse the artist’s titles by:

• either turning the press control TRACK []

• or keeping the press control TRACK [] pressed and turning the jogdial.

12. TROUBLESHOOTING

If the use of the software causes problems, a user account control (UAC) limitation may likely be the cause.

When trying to run the program, a UAC query pops up. Enter your admin password and confirm with “Yes”.

13. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation!

We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use

alcohol or solvents!

There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried

out by authorized dealers.
