MAKING LATTE

Attention! Be careful not to get burns by the out-

going steam.

• Make sure that the unit is switched off.

• Remove the water tank (16), fill it with cold water

and install back to its place.

• Remove the milk tank (11), fill it with milk as well

and install back to its place.

• Add ground coffee into the filter: 2 full measur-

ing spoons - to make two coffee cups and 1 full

spoon - to make one coffee cup, make even and

slightly tamp the ground coffee with the back

side of the measuring spoon (22).

• Install the filter holder into the coffee maker.

Position the handle so that it aligns with the

open lock symbol « » on the unit and goes

into the groove (fig. 3), then turn the handle of

the filter holder (17) to the right until bumping

and until it aligns with the closed lock symbol

« » (fig. 4, 5).

• Place a corresponding cup on a respective tray

(3 or 5) (fig. 10) and turn the cappuccinator pipe

(2) to the cup using the bar (8).

• Insert the power plug into the mains socket.

• Switch the coffee maker on by pressing the but-

ton (14).

• The illumination of the buttons (23, 24 and 25)

on the control panel will start flashing.

• Before making latte, adjust the amount of

frothed milk according to your preference by

turning the milk froth (intensity) knob (9) to the

right « » for more milk and minimum froth

and to the left « » for less milk and more froth.

Note: If you don’t use the unit for 15 minutes, it

will switch to the stand-by mode automatically for

safety reasons (boiler heating is switched off, the

illumination of control buttons goes out). Press any

control button to switch back the operating mode.

• When the control buttons stop flashing, press

the latte button (25) once to make one cup

of latte.

• Press the button (25) twice to make two cups

of latte.

MAKING FROTHED MILK

You can make necessary amount of frothed milk

anytime. You can use frothed milk for making hot

chocolate, macchiato, masala tea etc.

• Press and hold the button (24) for 3 seconds to

make frothed milk.

• You can switch this function off by pressing the

button (24) again at your discretion.

• It is important that milk for making frothed milk

is fresh and without additives, i.e. so-called long

storage milk is not suitable for this purpose.

Take usual whole milk with fat content from 4

to 6%, cream fat content should be not less

than 10%.

• In case there is some milk or cream left in the

tank (11) after making coffee, you can remove

the milk tank and put it in the fridge (pic. 7).

CLEANING OF THE CAPPUCCINATOR PIPE

AND THE MILK TANK

Attention! Clean the cappuccinator pipe after ev-

ery use.

• Make sure that there is enough water in the

water tank (16).

• Remove the milk tank (11).

• Remove the lid (7).

• The steam pipe located at the end of the lid (7)

can be detached and cleaned with tap water.

Put the pipe back in its place after cleaning

(fig. 9).

• It is not necessary to remove the lid (7) when

cleaning the milk tank (11), open the silicone

plug on the lid and rinse the tank (11) with tap

water (fig. 8).

• Pour the remaining milk out and thoroughly

rinse the milk tank (11) and the lid (7) with warm

soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or

sponges as these will scratch the surface. The

milk tank is also dishwasher safe (top shelf).

The lid (7) is not recommended for washing in

the dishwasher.

• Place a large, empty cup under the frothing

pipe (10).

• Turn the knob (9) clockwise to the cleaning

position « », then press and hold the «latte/

cleaning» button (25) for 3 seconds to activate

cleaning. The unit will start to release steam

through the frothing pipe (10), let it run for a few

seconds until you see milk in the cup. To finish

the process, press the «Latte/Cleaning» button

(25) once.

• Drain the water remaining in the milk tank (11)

and put it back into the unit.

Note: To remove the tank (11), lift it slightly and

then pull it towards yourself.

DESCALING

Mineral deposits accumulated in the unit affect its

performance. If you notice an increase in the time

it takes to make espresso, or if it steams too much,

your appliance needs to be descaled.

In addition, you may notice scale build-up on the

surface of the infuser.

The cleaning frequency depends on the hardness

of the water used. The following table shows the

recommended cleaning intervals.
