restart dante-server (#/etc/init.d/danted restart).
2.2 Install the EMS Server
Follow the steps below to install the EMS Server on the Ubuntu computer.
1 Log in as “root”.
2 Copy the EMS Server file from the CD-ROM to a folder on your hard drive (for example, /tmp/
gpon
).
3 In the directory where you copy the EMS Server file, extract the package.
gunzip ems_master.tar.gz
tar xvf ems_master.tar
sudo ./install
Then execute “install” in the directory where you extract the files. The EMS begins the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions. The IP address you input is the IP address of the Ubuntu
computer’s network adapter. If you later want to change the IP address of the Ubuntu computer’s
network adapter, you must change the EMS IP and restart the EMS.
