Additional EMS Procedures

4.1 Uninstalling the EMS Server

To just remove the EMS, enter the following command to uninstall the EMS Server: /opt/

ELEMENTVIEW_MASTER/uninstall

The EMS prompts you to confirm that you want to uninstall the EMS. Enter y to proceed.

This does not clear the database. So if you re-install the EMS on the same computer, the logs,

subscriber and login account information, and EMS configuration stored in the database are still

available.

# ./uninstall

Remove EMS Manager ...

Warning: You are going to uninstall EMS Manager, are you sure? [no] >> y

Start uninstallation...

Stop the EMS daemon 'alarmserver'...

Stop the EMS daemon 'devicepoller'...

Stop the EMS daemon 'snmptrapd'...

Removing files from /opt/ELEMENTVIEW/var...

Removing files from /opt/ELEMENTVIEW/bin...

Removing files from /opt/ELEMENTVIEW/conf...

Removing files from /usr/local/lib...

Unload mib files...

EMS Manager is removed successfully!
