OLT2412 Configuration

Do the following to link an OLT2412 and provision an ONT subscriber port.

1 Connect the OLT2412: right-click EMS in the device list panel and click Add Node. Select Device,

enter the device’s details, and click OK.

2 Activate a PON slot and port: right-click the OLT2412 in the device list panel and click

Configuration > PON > New. Select a PON card slot and port and set the transceiver type and

• method-A: (used in this example) requires the serial number and password the ONT sends to

match the ones you configure on the OLT.

• method-C: requires the physical layer operations and maintenance (PLOAM) password the

ONT sends to match what you configure on the OLT.

• method-C-Autolock: requires the serial number the ONT sends to match the one you

configure on the OLT.

• method-D: automatically registers the ONT and brings it into service without checking the

serial number or password.
