NetAtlas EMS User’s Guide

Installation notes:

• The EMS server will be installed in the folder: /opt/ELEMENTVIEW_MASTER

• EMS server binary file will be in the folder: /opt/ELEMENTVIEW_MASTER/bin

• Execute messtart to start the EMS server in bin folder ./emsstart

• Execute messtop to stop the EMS server in bin folder ./emsstop

2.3 Start the EMS Server

When Ubuntu starts the EMS server runs in the background. You can also start it from /opt/

ELEMENTVIEW_MASTER/bin sudo ./ emsstart.

2.4 Install the EMS Remote Client

Note: You must have the EMS Server set up and running first.

See Table 2 on page 8 for the system requirements for the EMS Remote Client. You need the IP

address of the MySQL database/EMS server. To install the EMS Remote Client on a Windows 7

computer:

1 Execute NetAtlas_GPONEMS_Client_V100bxx.exe.

2 Install Java JDK 7.
