CS261 User Manual

Preparation

To prepare for the firmware upgrade, do the following:

1. Use the KVM Cable Set provided with this unit to connect a USB port on

your computer to the PC Port section of your switch.

2. Shut down all the computers on the KVM installation.

3. The CS261 now enters Firmware Upgrade Mode. The two Ports LEDs

flash together to indicate that the unit is in Firmware Upgrade Mode.

Note: While the CS261 is in Firmware Upgrade Mode, normal keyboard

and mouse functions are suspended. You must complete the

firmware upgrade or exit Firmware Upgrade Mode to regain normal

control of the console.
