Installing the battery

1. Insert the battery into the slot and press it until it clicks into place.

2. Follow the procedures in After working inside your computer.

Removing the optical drive

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

2. Remove the battery.

3. To remove the optical drive:

a. Remove the screw that secures the optical drive to the computer [1].

b. Using a plastic scribe push the tab to release the optical drive [2].

c. Slide the optical drive out of the computer [3].

Removing the optical drive bracket

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.

2. Remove the:

a. battery

b. optical drive

3. To remove the optical drive from bracket:

a. Remove the screw that secures the optical drive bracket [1].

b. Remove the optical drive bracket from the optical drive [2].
