2. INSTALACIÓN
(fig. 3).
fig. 2.
LA BOMBA NO DEBE FUNCIONAR NUNCA EN SECO.

risk of injury to persons or damage
to objects.
ATTENTION If this instruction is not heeded, there is a
risk of damaging the pump or the
installation.
1. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
These instructions aim to give information about the correct installa-
tion and optimum performance of our pumps.
The VIGICOR 150M model is a submergible, single-stage pump with
stainless steel grinder for draining off grey water containing fibrous
mater. Maximum water temperature is 35°C.
The solids passage pitch is approximately 8 mm (MAX).
ATTENTION. Correct observance of the instructions for
installation and use guarantees the smooth operation of the
pump. Non-observance of the instructions contained in this
manual may lead to motor overload, impaired technical fea-
tures, shorter pump life and adverse consequences of all
kinds, for which we do not accept any responsibility
whatsoever.
DANGER, risk of electrocution. The pump cannot be used in a
swimming-pool while there are people bathing.
DANGER
Do not insert your hand or any other object into the suc-
tion inlet or discharge outlet, as the rotating turbine and
blades could cause serious injury/damage.
2. INSTALLATION
2.1. Attachment
The pump can rest on the floor or be suspended from a cable or the
like.
The pump must never be supported by the electric cable (fig. 4).
On the automatic version, with level float (version A), if so wished
the level of water for pump starting and stopping can be set by sli-
ding the float cable by its hook. Check that the level float can move
freely (Fig. 3).
The maximum depth of immersion is 8 m.
2.2. Fitting the impeller tubing
The pumps are supplied with 1 1/4” female gas thread in the impeller
section.
The weight of the tubes must not rest on the pump.
It is advisable to fit a check valve to prevent the pipes remaining
empty. This check valve must allow solids of up to at least 10 mm
to pass.
Ensure that the tube is not bent and that it is correctly fitted onto the
outlet piece, as an anomaly in either of these points can lead to
incorrect attachment and reduced output flow.
2.3. Electrical connection
HAZARD. Risk of electrocution. The electrical installation
must be effectively earthed and must comply with the natio-
nal regulations currently in force.
The electrical connection will be made by plugging the
power-supply plug into a socket with the corresponding
earth contacts.
The protection of the system will be based on a high-sensi-
tivity circuit-breaker switch (IDn = 30 mA) together with a
multiple sectioning device with contact opening of at least
3 mm.
The motor has built-in thermal protection which disconnects
the power supply in the event of overload.
2.4. Checks prior to first start-up
CAUTION. Check that the mains voltage and frequency coin-
cide with those stated on the technical specifications plate.
Ensure that the pump is submerged as shown in Fig. 2.
THE PUMP MUST NEVER BE OPERATED DRY.
3. START-UP
Open all the flow valves of the pipe.
Connect the electrical panel plug into a socket. If there is an appro-
priate level of water, the motor will immediately start up. If the motor
turns and water does not emerge from the discharge pipe, consult
the troubleshooting chart contained in this manual.
DANGER.
Contact with the rotating turbine or blade can cause serious
injury.
4. MAINTENANCE
For correct maintenance of the pump follow the instructions listed
below:
DANGER. Risk of electrocution. Disconnect the pump from the
mains before performing any operation whatsoever.
In normal conditions, these pumps are maintenance-free.
If the pump is not going to be used for a long period of time, it
is advisable to remove it from the tank, clean it and store it in
a dry, well-ventilated place.
ATTENTION: in the event of failure, only an authorised techni-
cal service may replace the electric cable or handle the pump.
When disposing of the pump at the end of its life, it does not
contain any toxic or pollutant material. The main components
are duly marked for selective scrapping.
5. CLEANING
Clean the pump by having it pump clean water when it is to be with-
drawn in order to prevent deposition of sand or other materials.
