IMPORTANT: TO CARRY OUT ALL TASKS RELATED TO EQUIPMENT USE AND MAINTENANCE CORRECTLY,
READ CAREFULLY THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL PRIOR TO STARTING THE WELDER .
SafetY regulationS
PROTECTION AGAINST BURNS:
When welding use gloves long enough to cover elbows. Ensure the shoes are tied up correctly, all the buttons
of clothing are fastened, especially those close to the neck, and pockets are covered so sparks or chips of mel-
ted metal cannot get inside the clothing.
Glass in welding mask must be properly shaded. Do not use cracked or broken glass, otherwise radiation may
get through it and cause eye injury. Replace cracked or damaged glass immediately.
Do not use clothing, which is dirty with grease or oil, because a spark might set it on re. Do not touch hot,
welded material or electrode with bare hands.
PROTECTION AGAINST HARMFUL FUMES:
Toxic smoke, fumes and heat produced by welding arc may cause serious ailment or sickness. Protect your he-
alth and weld in spacious rooms. If the room is small, it must be well ventilated and there must be air extractor
installed.
PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE AND EXPLOSION
Remember that welding arc, ame, scattering sparks, hot splinters or pieces of metal may cause re or explo-
sion when in contact with ammables. Spark or falling splinters may get through slots, holes in the oor, walls,
doors or windows.
To protect yourself against re or explosion, always keep your welding place tidy.
Never weld near ammables. After welding ensure there are no burning sparks or bigger drops of glowing
metal, and there are no smouldering materials around the place of welding.
EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
Do not weld when air may contain ammable dust, ammable gas or fumes of liquids like fuels or solvents.
PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK:
Touching welded object or a wire without insulation may result in fatal injury.
Never touch the welded surface with bare, wet hands during welding. Ensure your body and clothing are dry.
Do not weld in wet environment without appropriate protection against electrical shock.
Never weld containers that previously contained ammable materials or liquids.
Never attempt to defrost pipes.
Never touch electrode, or any other metal object in the welder circuit, when the welder is operating.
Use only insulated terminals to connect welding wires.
Check wires on a regular basis against wear, cuts and other damages.
Replace all damaged wires immediately to avoid electric shock.
PROTECTION DEVICES
Do not walk-around any protection devices in the power supply circuit (fuses, residual current circuit breakers etc.).
Disconnect the power supply before installation, checking or testing the welder to avoid switching it on acci-
dentally.
After the work is nished, always disconnect the welder from power supply.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERSONS WITH HEART PACEMAKERS
Magnetic eld produced by high intensity current that is used for welding may pose a threat for persons who
use pacemakers. They shall ask a physician, whether they can stay in or pass by the places where welding works
are carried out.
