Display Cause Remedy
● Brewing unit is blocked
(technical reason).
● Pull out the brewing unit
and loosen it on the rear
side using the tool function
of the measuring spoon.
Push the toothed opening
on the measuring spoon
onto the pin and loosen
it by turning completely
at least 3 times. Then
thoroughly rinse out the
brewing unit.
● Coffee temperature is
faulty.
If this message appears
on the display, turn off the
coffee machine.
Switch on the machine
again after a cooling-down
period of approx. 30
minutes.
If the message is displayed
again, an error has
occurred that requires
technical assistance.

If it is no possible to obtain

will be instructed on the
further procedure.
● Steam temperature is
wrong.
● Error in motor valve 1.
● Error in motor valve 2.
● Main switch blocked.
● Cleaning the brewing
unit: see section
“CLEANING THE
BREWING UNIT”.
● Error in input voltage.
● Communication failure.
● Grinding neness set
too ne or coffee powder
used is too ne.
● Set grinding neness
coarser or use a different,
coarser coffee powder.
● The water tank has
overowed or is too damp.
● Dry the water tank and
the water case thorougly.
● The water tank lid is
missing.
● Remove the water tank
and put the lid on.
● Too much air in system. ● Rell the water tank.

enough.
● Cups too cold. ● Warm up cups with hot
water.
● Increase the coffee
temperature: see

powder used.
● Measure coffee
properly: top up with max.
1 measuring spoon of
coffee beans.
● Set ground coffee
quantity higher.
● Vary grinding neness.
● Try a different coffee
sort.
● Coffee type changed,
setting changed.
● Take the automatic
grinding quantity correction
into consideration: see
section “PREPARING
COFFEE WITH WHOLE
COFFEE BEANS” under
Notes.
Very loud noise during
grinding.
● Grinding mechanism
clogged by foreign matter.
● Send the coffee
machine to customer
service for inspection.
● The coffee machine
can still be operated with
powder coffee.
No milk froth or milk not
dispensed.
● Milk system not
correctly connected.
● Check milk system
connection: see section
“CONNECTING THE
MILK SYSTEM”, “USING
THE MILK COOLER

● Milk frother is not
completely inserted.

● Milk tube bent. ● Relocate the milk hose:

● Milk container is empty. ● Fill milk container.

● Descaling the

Low quality froth. ● Milk too warm, too old or
fat content too high.
● Use cold, low-fat milk.
● Froth nozzle is dirty. ● Clean froth nozzle: see

● Milk system is dirty. ● Clean milk system:

● Steam outlet of the
