For handling fuels
Fuels are flammable and explosive. Minimise the
risk of explosion and fire:
Before refuelling, switch off the motor and let it
cool down.
Smoking and naked flames are prohibited while
handling fuels.
Only store and mix fuels in approved and
marked canisters.
Seal fuel canisters before storing. Fuels evapo-
rate even at room temperature and can collect
on the floor in closed rooms (risk of explosion).
Start the device a few metres away from where
you have filled it up.
Fuels are toxic! They contain substances that are
highly toxic and can cause long-term health da-
mage. Heed the precautions to stop these subs-
tances from being absorbed into your body:
Only top up outdoors or decant fuel in well-ven-
tilated rooms.
Do not inhale fuel vapours.
Avoid skin and eye contact.
Wear gloves when decanting fuel.
If fuel gets on your clothing, change your
clothing right away. Clean the garment before
wearing it again.
Store fuels out of the reach of children.
If used improperly, fuels endanger the environ-
ment:
Fill up fuel carefully. Combustible materials must
not run into the soil or into the sewer system.
Fuel residues must be disposed of properly.
Never dispose of them with household waste.
Fuels have a limited shelf-life. Only buy quanti-
ties that will be used within a few months.
