Preparing the device for first use
Before the first use, the integrated battery must be fully
charged.
Connect the charger to the mains voltage specified on
the type plate.
Place the night light on the charger.
The first charging process takes at least 8 hours. Charge
the night light until the charging indicator lights up
green. The night light then offers an operation period
of approx. 11 hours.
Note
The brightness diminishes as the operating period
increases.
As soon as the battery needs to be charged, the charg-
ing indicator lights up red.
The night light switches off automatically if it is placed
on the charger.
Do not charge the night light for more than 24 hours as
this will shorten the service life of the battery.
Charge the night light at least once a week.
The charging indicator lights up red during charging.
6. Cleaning and maintaining the device
Important
Unplug the device each time before cleaning.
Clean the device using only the methods specified.
Under no circumstances may liquid enter the device or
the accessory.
Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
Do not clean the device in the dishwasher.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning products or harsh
brushes.
Clean the unplugged device using a soft, slightly damp
cloth and a mild cleaning product. Then wipe dry with a
soft, lint-free cloth.
7. Disposal
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in
the household waste at the end of its useful life.
Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recy-
cling point.
Observe the local regulations for material disposal.
Dispose of the unit in accordance with EC Directive
2002/96/EC – WEEE
(Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please con-
tact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
As a consumer, you are required by law to recycle used
batteries.
You can recycle your old batteries at public collection
points in your community or wherever batteries of the rel-
evant type are sold.
Note: The codes below are printed on
batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery
contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains
mercury.
The night light contains an integrated battery.
The battery contains lithium ions. Prior to dis-
posal of the device, the battery must be removed
and disposed of separately. When doing so, make sure
that the battery has been fully run down.
