Thank you for choosing the THOMAS Bionic Washstick! The THOMAS Bionic Washstick is an

intelligent floor cleaning machine based on innovative bionic technology, which perfectly

integrates the functions of sweeping, mopping, drying and self-cleaning Its advent is

honoured as “The second revolution in floor cleaning” This appliance, equipped with

a built-in battery, is able to separate dirt particles from dirty water, and automatically

self-clean during operation After use, all that is needed is to discard the disposable waste

container and empty the dirty water tank The appliance is efficient at cleaning, easy to

use and easy maintenance

In this user manual, we will give you some useful tips about how you can use it to clean

as easily and efficiently as possible We hope that you enjoy using this appliance as much

as we have enjoyed creating it Please read this user manual carefully before you use the

appliance and save it for further reference

Safety instructions

1. Danger

• To prevent electric shock, never move the appliance over power sockets of any kind To prevent

electric shock, never move the appliance over a floor or wall socket, or an extension cable

which is plugged in

• Keep clothing, hair, human body parts, pets and all other obstacles at a sufficiently safe

distance away from the cleaning roller and openings in front of the cleaning head

2. Caution

• The appliance must be removed from the charging base before cleaning or maintenance

• Always switch off the appliance before you remove water tanks or open the cleaning head

cover

• To prevent hazards, do not let the appliance pick up sharp or pointed objects

• To prevent hazards, you must never immerse the body in water or any other liquid, nor rinse

it under the tap

• Never use this appliance to pick up flammable or combustible liquids and never put flammable

or combustible liquids in the clean water tank

• Regularly check the appliance and its associated parts; do not use them if the appliance or the

charging base is damaged The appliance and charging base may only be serviced or replaced

by an authorised service centre

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or insufficient

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance

• Never store the appliance at a temperature lower than 0°C/32°F

• Use only clean water or detergents recommended by THOMAS to fill the clean water tank

• Never put acetic acid (vinegar) or a descaling agent in the clean water tank or use the

appliance to pick up these liquids

• Never put products containing wax or oil or any other hard floor maintenance products that

cannot be diluted in the clean water tank Never use the appliance to pick up these liquids

• The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided

• Never use the battery for any other kind of appliance, and never expose it to heat

(>50°C/122°F) Never use the battery outdoors or in wet conditions

• When removing or replacing the battery, make sure the terminals are kept away from other

metal objects such as paper clips, keys, screws etc, to prevent any thermal effect, smoke, fire

or even explosion

• If liquid leaks from the battery, you must not use it again Call the customer service centre

for special battery treatment immediately

• Do not open the battery without authorisation in case of any abnormal situation

• Do not dispose of used batteries at will Please properly dispose of and recycle them

• Use only cleaning solutions authorised by THOMAS which are intended for use with this

appliance Otherwise, you risk damaging internal components

• Never clean the cleaning roller with a pointed or sharp object, as this may damage the roller

and impair the cleaning performance

• To prevent water from leaking, never lay the appliance on its side or turn it over when the

water tanks are filled with water

• We recommend emptying the dirty water tank each time after using it, in order to prevent

bacteria breeding or odours developing

• The cleaning roller, brush roller and water tanks are not dishwasher-proof or washing

machine-proof

• This appliance is intended for indoor household use only

3. Technical specifications and safety regulations

This appliance complies with the currently recognised technical specifications and safety regulations

for electrical products If handled properly in accordance with the instructions in this user manual,

the appliance will be safe to use

4. Active self-protection system

This appliance is equipped with an active self-protection system If a large object, such as a towel

or curtain is sucked up, the appliance will stop operating and an indicator message will appear

in order to prevent damage
