of the socket.
• Do not keep the unit at the temperature
below 0°C.
The coffee maker is intended for house-
hold usage only.
KEEP THIS INSTRUCTION
PREPARATION TO USE
• Unpack the coffee maker.
• Before using the unit for the first time,
wash all removable parts with warm wa-
ter and wipe them with a dry cloth.
• Set all removable parts on their place and
make sure that they are set properly.
• Before switching on the unit, make sure
that voltage and frequency of your home
electric main correspond to those speci-
fied on the unit.
Attention! Before using the coffee maker,
steam system should be washed, by set-
ting max. water supply mode (60 ml) and
repeat the procedure for 2-3 times (see the
Making “ESPRESSO” chapter), but do
not fill the filter holder with a built-in valve
(3) with ground coffee.
Making “ESPRESSO”
• Place the unit on the flat stable surface.
• Remove the water tank (9) by moving it
upwards and fill it with cold water to the
MAX mark and then set it on its place
(pic. 1, 2).
• You can fill the water tank (9) with water
without removing it from the coffee maker
and using the corresponding bowl for it.
Note: If the water level in the water tank
(9) falls below the required level you will
hear a sound signal, and the (23) indica-
tion will be flashing on the display. In this
case you should fill the water tank (9)
with water to the max. mark.
• Make sure that steam supply is inactive.
To do it, turn the handle (10) clockwise
until bumping.
• Insert the plug into the socket, a sound
signal will be heard and the (29) indica-
tion will appear on the display (6), the
pump will switch on and the coffee maker
will switch to the standby mode in 5 sec-
onds.
• Press the On/Off (14) button, the display
(6) will light up, the boiler heating will
start, and you will see the rotating indica-
tion (29) on the display (6).
• Set the water hardness level, corre-
sponding to your region, on the display,
to do it, press and hold the (17) button
for 3 sec., a sound signal will be heard
and the flashing indication (26) will ap-
pear, press the (17) button again to set
water hardness (HI-high, MI-medium,
LO-low).
Notice: you can measure hardness of
pipe water using test strip.
- unpack the strip (do not throw the pack-
ing out)
- hold the strip under water jet for 1 sec-
ond
- wait for 15 seconds
- compare changed color on the test strip
with color diagram on the packing
If water hardness indicated on coffee
machine display differs from result of
measurement, set up new value of hard-
ness.
• Select coffee in pods or ground coffee
mode. Press and hold the (15) button for
3 sec., a sound signal will be heard and
one of the indications (21 or 22) will be
lighting, press and hold the (15) button
again to select the required indication (21
or 22).
• Select the number of cups, pressing the
(15) button, a sound signal will be heard
and the second cup indication (30) will
be on.
• Set the amount of water to refill, pressing
the (17) button, 30-40-50 or 60 ml, wa-
ter amount values will be indicated by the
(28) indication on the display (6).
