9 Configure a remote ONT bandwidth group: click Topology > right-click the OLT in the device list
panel > Configuration > ONT > Slot-Port > select the slot and port in the list > ONT > select
the ONT entry in the list > Bandwidth Group, and then New. Set a bandwidth group ID number,
the bandwidth group type, and the upstream and downstream bandwidth profiles and click OK.
• ID: number 1-40 of the bandwidth group on this ONT you are creating to specify upstream
and downstream bandwidth profiles to limit the ONT’s bandwidth. This example uses 1.
• T-CONT Type: bandwidth group type from the following table. Use the one that matches your
bandwidth profile’s settings. This example uses type 5 which applies the SIR and AIR and uses
a PIR greater than the SIR and AIR added together.
• US Bandwidth Profile: bandwidth profile this bandwidth group applies to upstream traffic.
This example uses the Bandwidth-test profile configured in step 6 on page 19. Note, the total
SIR bandwidth reserved for the ONTs on a PON cannot exceed the PON’s bandwidth.
• DS Bandwidth Profile: bandwidth profile this bandwidth group applies to downstream traffic.
