Clatronic KG 3159 [18/28] Cleaning

4. Grilling is ﬁ nished after 8 to 10 minutes (depending on the

thickness of the food being grilled). For technical reasons it

is possible that the upper side of the items being grilled will

brown more quickly than the underside. We recommend

turning the food over if necessary.

Note:

When opening the grill or pressing the surfaces of the grill,

please be careful of the vapours given off.

5. Open the cover and remove the cooked food with a wooden

fork or similar kitchen utensil. Do not use any sharp or

cutting objects as they may damage the coating of the grill

plates.

6. When food is not being grilled the grill surfaces should

always be kept closed.

Switching off

a. In order to stop the cooking process remove the mains plug

from the socket.

b. If you would like to transport the device or store it away,

please move the latches on the sides towards the front in

order to secure the grilling surfaces. Check whether they are

closed.

Cleaning

• Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before clean-

ing and wait until the unit has cooled down.

• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• Under no circumstances should the device be immersed in

water for cleaning.

Heating Plate

• Please remove any food residues while they are still warm

with a damp cloth or paper towel.

• Clean the heating plate with a soft sponge and soapy water.

Then wipe off with clear water and dry thoroughly with a soft

cloth. After drying please apply a thin ﬁ lm of edible oil to the

surface.

Housing

• Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
