• Now secure the workpiece supports, ensuring the here too

there is a maximum distance of 3 mm between the grinding disc

and the support. [F1]

Assembly instructions

Mounting spark deectors (3) [F2]

• Mount the left and right spark deectors (3) with eyeshield

(7) to the special hole on the disk protector (4) using screws (10)

washers (11) and nuts (12).

• Make sure that spark deectors (3) with eyeshield (7) are

rmly in place.

WARNING

To prevent personal injury, never operate the bench grinder

unless the safety eyeshields (7) and spark deectors (3) are

properly installed and in place.

Mounting workpiece supports (2)

• Mount the two workpiece supports (2) using their knobs (6),

washers and screws for workpiece support.

• Before tightening the bolts, adjust the gap between the

grinding disc (5) and the workpiece support (2) to a optimal gap

of 1.6 mm.

• Tighten securely.

Initial operation

Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply voltage

must match the information quoted on the tool identication

plate.

• Press On/O switch (1) and put it on the «I» position.

• Press On/O switch (1) and put it on the «O» position.

Operating instruction

WARNING

Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields

during power tool operation or when blowing dust. If operation

is dusty, wear a dust mask.

To be ecient and work as designed, your tools should be kept

sharp. Dull tools can and will cause accidents.

WARNING

Never sharpen or grind anything made of aluminium.

Grinders remove material rapidly so pressure is the key to

ecient grinding.

Grinding disc (5) replacement

If you must replace a grinding disc (5), be sure to obtain one with

a safe rated speed at least as high as the “no load speed” RPM

marked on the data plate of the grinder. Only grinding discs

must be used which carry information about the maker, kind of

bond, dimensions and permissible rotary speed.

To replace the grinding disc (5):

• Remove the disc protector (4) by loosening its screws (9).

• Loosen the disc nut (15) in a clockwise direction for the left

side and a counterclockwise direction for the right side.

• Remove the outer ange (14) and grinding disc (5).

To install a new grinding disc (5):

• Reverse the above procedure.

• Be sure the grinding disc (5) and outer ange (14) are

properly seated on the spindle shaft (8).

Maintenance and storage

CAUTION

Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains plug.

• Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if present)

cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the appliance

will ensure eciency and prolong the life of your tool.

• If the tool should fail despite the rigorous manufacturing

and testing procedures, the repair should be carried out by an

authorized IVT customer service.

• Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight, to be sure the tool is in

safe working condition.

• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.

• Use only original spare parts. Parts not produced by

manufacturer may cause poor t and possible injury.

• Store the tool in a dry room out of reach of kids and away

from any ammable material.

• Never wet the device or spray water on it!

• Keep the bench grinder clean. Remove dust from working

parts and beneath the grinder frequently.

• Make sure the bench grinder operates properly. Check

screws, nuts, and bolts for tightness.

• The use of any extension cord will cause some loss of power.

To keep the loss to a minimum and to prevent tool overheating,

use an extension cord that is heavy enough to carry the current

the tool will draw.
