Digital Diversity Receiver Digital Diversity Receiver 6 PC Network Operation 9 ACT How to Activate ACT Function Press ACT button 1 The ACT 81 82 is equipped with the latest PC network interface Please follow the instructions below to set up your PC controlled system 2 Cable Installation a The PC network interface of the ACT 81 82 is the REMOTE connector 21 that can be linked to a PC by MIPRO DVU or MIPRO DVJ By use of a RS 232 or USB connector you can link to a PC through the RS 232 COM PORT or USB PORT See diagram below A LOSE indicate ACT function is not successful performed A Operating Procedure Press the ACT button to activate the ACT function The indicator lights up instantly to confirm activation and awaits a response from the transmitter If the transmitter does not respond within 1 2 seconds the display will show A LOSE message which means the ACT function has failed to engage You will have to press the ACT button to activate it again Point the ACT symbol on the transmitter at the LACT button 7 10 on the receiver keeping a distance of no more than 30 cm 12 between the transmitter and the receiver NOTE At all times except when in the encryption mode pressing the ACT button will activate the ACT function Automatic Channel Targeting and will send frequency information from the receiver to the transmitter When in the encryption mode pressing the ACT button will also send the encryption code from the receiver to the transmitter causing the designated transmitter to also be encrypted Press ACT Button Transmitter can automatically lock on receiver frequency a Plug one side of the provided phone cable w RJ 11 connectors to the REMOTE OUT socket 21 on the rear of the receiver and the other end of the phone cable to the REMOTE IN socket 21 on the rear of the second receiver Repeat this connection for each receiver in the system as per the illustration Finally connect the REMOTE IN socket 21 on the rear of the first receiver to the MIPRO DVU or MIPRO DVJ 10 BAT Battery Level Display b This system can link and monitor up to 64 receivers simultaneously c The length of the cable can be up to 300m 984 to the PC but the longer the distance involved the less stability in the system Therefore we do not recommend a cable length over 100m 325 to keep the highest quality as well as a high speed of transmission The receiver will immediately read the battery level when it receives a signal from the transmitter If the battery level drops down to 10 the transmitter needs to be recharged or the battery needs to be replaced as soon as possible 14 15
