Digital Diversity Receiver Digital Diversity Receiver 5 Front Panel VFD Display b Balanced Output Using audio output cables with XLR or Cannon type connectors connect one end to the balanced output jacks 14 18 of the receiver and the other end to the MIC IN input jack of the mixer or amplifier as shown in Fig 3 The configuration of the 3 pin connector is as shown in Fig 6 All information displays on the same VFD screen 1 GND 2 HOT 3 COLD Fig 6 c Electrical Guitar Output Convert XLR connector into PHONE type connector then connect to guitar input socket on amplifier Make sure gain level should be set at OdB on both receiver4 and transmitter 4 For front antenna installation remove the two plugs on the rack ears and install an FBC71 antenna mounting kit sold separately 5 To ensure the best reception possible the receiver must be installed at least one meter 39 above ground In addition the distance between the transmitter and the receiver must be more than one meter and away from any interference Fig 8 Q Frequency Band Q Group Q Channel Q Parameter Lock Q Encryption Status Q RF Strength Meter Q Strength Meter Q Transmitter Battery Meter Q Squelch Meter J Equalizer Working Frequency ACT Indicator J PC Address Code Fig 8 4 RECEIVER OPERATING PROCEDURES 1 Before turning on the receiver power make sure all transmitters are turned off and the volume controls of the mixer in use are turned to a minimum setting When the receiver is switched on the red LED power switch indicator illuminates to denote normal power status 2 Under normal circumstances the RF indicator lights up when a transmitter is near the receiver to indicate the receiver is ready for normal operation Once signal from the transmitter is received the AF indicators will glow according to strength If no LED glows or there is no audio output the system is not properly and must be checked Full Lit VFD Panel turned on an audio the signal functioning 3 The microphone output level needs to be adjusted at the amplifier or mixer There is no need to adjust output levels at the receiver itself 4 The antenna socket has a bias of 8 volt DC and is designed to work with a MIPRO antenna booster If the connection cable is longer than ten meters approx 30 it is advisable to install an antenna booster to ensure the best reception 6 7 Diversity Signal Indicators
