Daikin EUWA15HDW15 [7/18] Digital controller

Daikin EUWA15HDW15 [7/18] Digital controller

Connection to the unit
The digital controller is connected to the unit, more specifically to
the controller PCB inside the unit, by means of a 6-ray cable and a
connector located on the rear side of the controller.
A cable length of up to 1000 metres between the digital controller
and the unit is allowed. This gives the opportunity to control the unit
from a considerable distance. Refer to "Cable for digital controller"
in the installation manual for cable specifications.

Working with the unit
This chapter deals with the everyday usage of the unit. Here, you
will find how to perform routine tasks, such as:
switching the unit on and off,
consulting actual operational information,
adjusting the temperature setpoint,
resetting the unit.
Switching the unit on
1 Press the
f
key on the controller.
Depending on the setting of the remote ON/OFF control parameter
("user settings" menu), the following conditions may occur.
When the remote ON/OFF control parameter is set to NO, the LED
inside the
f
key lights up and an initialization cycle is started.
Once all the timers have reached zero, the unit starts up.
When the remote ON/OFF control parameter is set to YES, the
following table applies:

2 When the unit is started up for the first time, or when the unit
has been out of operation for a longer period, it is
recommended to go through the following checklist.
Abnormal noise and vibrations
Make sure that the unit does not produce abnormal noises or
vibrations: check the fixations and piping. If the compressor makes
abnormal noises, this may also be caused by an overcharge of
refrigerant.
Working pressure
It is important to check the high and low pressure of the refrigerant
circuit to ensure the proper operation of the unit and to guarantee
that the rated output will be obtained.
OPERATION
The EUWA units are equipped with a digital controller offering a
user-friendly way to set up, use and maintain the unit.
This part of the manual has a task-oriented, modular structure. Apart
from the first section, which gives a brief description of the controller
itself, each section or subsection deals with a specific task you can
perform with the unit.

User interface
The digital controller consists of an alphanumeric display, labelled
keys which you can press, a number of LEDs indicating the
selected menu and a hinged cover. When the cover is closed,
only the most frequently used keys are accessible.

Keys accessible when the cover is closed:
f
key, to start up or to shut down the unit.
g
key, to enter the safeties menu or to reset an alarm.
h
key, to scroll through the screens of a menu (only in case
a, z or e appears) or to raise, respectively lower a setting.
j
key, to confirm a selection or a setting.
Keys only accessible when the cover is open:
a
key, to enter the readout menu.
z
key, to enter the setpoints menu.
e
key, to enter the user settings menu.
r
key, to enter the timers menu.
t
key, to enter the history menu.
y
key, to enter the info menu.
u
key, to enter the input/output status menu.
q
key, to enter the user password menu.
d
key, has no effect on EUWA units.
This key, allowing the selection of cooling or heating operation
on EUWY units is provided on the EUWA controller but the
EPROM on the controller PCB denies any action since heating
operation is impossible.
Note - Temperature readout tolerance: ±1°C.
- Legibility of the alphanumeric display may decrease in
direct sunlight.
