Tasks of the user settings menu
Entering the user settings menu
The user settings menu is protected by the user password, a 4-digit
number between 0000 and 9999.
1 Press the
e
key.
The controller will request the password.
2 Enter the correct password using the
h
key.
3 Press
j
to confirm the password and to enter the user settings
menu.
The controller automatically enters the first screen of the user
settings menu.
Selecting local or remote on/off control
The remote on/off control parameter in combination with the remote
on/off switch (installed by the customer) allows the user to switch
the unit on or off not using the
f
key on the controller.
If the remote on/off control parameter is set to Y (yes):
the unit will start up when the
f
key on the controller and the
remote on/off key are both on (the
f
LED is on),
the unit will not start up when the
f
key on the controller is on
but the remote on/off switch is off (the
f
LED flashes),
the unit will not start up when the
f
key on the controller is off
(the
f
LED is off).
If the remote on/off control parameter is set to N(no), the unit can
only be switched on or off using the
f
key on the controller.
To select local or remote on/off control, proceed as follows:
1 Enter the user settings menu.
If the controller is already in the user settings menu, position the
cursor in the upper left corner of the actual screen using the
e
or
j
key and go to the REMOTE CONTROL screen using the
h
key.
2 Position the cursor behind REMOTE ON/OFF using the
j
key.
3 Select Y or N using the
h
key.
4 Press
j
to confirm or press
e
to cancel the modification.
When the selection has been confirmed, the cursor switches to the
BMSCARD INSTALLED parameter. When the modification has been
cancelled, the cursor returns to the upper left corner of the screen.
Installing BMS address card
The BMSCARD INSTALLED - parameter in combination with address
cards (optional PCB), allows the user to control the unit from a
supervisory system.
If the BMSCARD INSTALLED - parameter is set to Y (yes),
communication with a supervisory system is possible. The
BMSSETTINGS screen and BMSBOARDSETTINGS screen of the
usersetting menu are available. These screens are used to set BMS
parameters.
To select BMS address card installed or not installed, proceed as
follows:
1 Enter the user settings menu.
If the controller is already in the user settings menu, position the
cursor in the upper left corner of the actual screen using the
e
or
j
key and go to the REMOTE CONTROL screen using the
h
key.
2 Position the cursor behind the parameter to be modified using
the
j
key.
3 Select Y or N using the
h
key.
4 Press
j
to confirm or press
e
to cancel the modification.
The cursor returns to the upper left corner of the screen.
Defining and activating manual control mode
The unit is equipped with a thermostat which controls the cooling
load of the units. When the operator wants to control the load
himself, he can activate manual control mode using the MANUAL
SETTINGS screen of the user settings menu. In this case, he has to
define the following parameters:
the fanspeed (FANSPEED): low, medium, high or very high,
the status of the circuits (C1, C2, C3): on or off.
the control mode (PRESENT MODE): manual or automatic.
To define and activate or de-activate manual control mode, proceed
as follows:
1 Enter the user settings menu and press the
x
key once to
go to the MANUAL SETTINGS screen.
If the controller is already in the user settings menu, position the
cursor in the upper left corner of the actual screen using the
e
or
j
key and go to the MANUAL SETTINGS screen using the
h
key.
2 Position the cursor behind the parameter to be modified using
the
j
key.
3 Select the appropriate setting using the
h
key.
4 Press
j
to confirm or
e
to cancel the selection.
When the selection has been confirmed, the cursor switches to the
next parameter which can now be modified. When the selection
has been cancelled, the cursor returns to the upper left corner of
the screen.
5 Repeat from instruction 2 onwards to modify the other
parameters.
Note To activate manual control mode, select MANUAL as present
mode. To de-activate the manual control mode, select
AUTO as present mode.
Defining the thermostat settings
When automatic control mode is selected, the unit uses default a
2-step thermostat to control the cooling load. However, the
thermostat parameters are not fixed and can be modified via the
THERMOSTAT SETTINGS screen of the user settings menu.
The default, limit and step values for the thermostat parameters are:
