The pressures measured will vary between a maximum
and minimum value, depending on the water and outdoor
temperatures (at the moment of measurement).
Minimum Nominal Maximum
(outdoor temp. -5°CDB) (outdoor temp. 35°CDB) (outdoor temp. 38°CDB)
(leaving water temp. 4°C) (leaving water temp. 7°C) (leaving water temp. 25°CDB)
Low pressure 4 bar 5 bar 8.5 bar
High pressure 7 bar 20 bar 22 bar
3 If the unit does not start after a few minutes, consult the readout
menu which gives the status of the different circuits (refer to
paragraph "Consulting actual operational information"). Also
refer to the chapter "Trouble shooting".
Switching the unit off
If the remote on/off control parameter is set to No:
1 Press the
f
key on the controller.
The LED inside the
f
key goes out.
If the remote on/off control parameter is set to Yes:
1 Press the
f
key on the controller or switch the unit off using
the remote on/off switch.
The LED inside the
f
key goes out in the first case and starts
blinking in the second case.
Consulting actual operational information
1 Enter the readout menu using the
a
key.
The controller automatically shows the first screen of the readout
menu which provides the following information:
–
MANUAL/COOLING or COOLSETP1/2
: automatic/manual control
mode and cooling operation. If the automatic control mode is
selected, the controller will indicate the active temperature
setpoint.
– INLET WATER: actual inlet water temperature.
– AMBIENT: actual ambient temperature.
– THERM. STEP: actual thermostat step.
2 Press the
x
key to enter the second screen of the readout
menu.
The OUTLET WATER TEMP screen of the readout menu provides
information concerning the outlet water temperature:
– OUTL. WATER 1: actual outlet water temperature of circuit 1.
– OUTL. WATER 2: actual outlet water temperature of circuit 2.
– OUTL. WATER 3: actual outlet water temperature of circuit 3 (if
applicable).
3 Press the
x
key to enter the third screen of the readout
menu.
The CIRCUITS STATUS screen of the readout menu provides
information concerning the status of the different circuits.
– C1: actual status of circuit 1.
– C2: actual status of circuit 2.
– C3: actual status of circuit 3 (if applicable).
When a circuit is ON, the following status information may appear:
– COOLING: the circuit is cooling.
When a circuit is OFF, the following status information may
appear:
– SAFETY ACTIVE: one of the circuit safety devices is activated
(Refer to the chapter "Trouble shooting"). The controller cannot
indicate which safety is activated since all safeties of a circuit
are connected in series.
– FREEZE UP DIS: the circuit was shut down because the water
heat exchanger ran the risk of freezing up. The unit will
continue or start its normal operation automatically when the
freeze-up risk has disappeared.
– TIMERS BUSY: the actual value of one of the software timers is
not zero (refer to the "timers" menu).
– CAN STARTUP: the circuit is ready to start up when extra cooling
load is needed.
4 Press the
w
key to return successively to the second and
the first screen of the readout menu.
Adjusting the temperature setpoint
The unit provides definition and selection of two independent
temperature setpoints for cooling operation:
■ SETP. COOL 1: inlet water temperature, cooling setpoint 1,
■ SETP. COOL 2: inlet water temperature, cooling setpoint 2.
The selection between setpoint 1 and 2 is done by a remote dual
setpoint switch (to be installed by the customer). The actual active
setpoint can be consulted in the readout menu.
If the manual control mode is selected (refer to the "user settings"
menu), none of the above-mentioned setpoints will be active.
To adjust a setpoint, proceed as follows:
1 Enter the setpoints menu using the
z
key.
If the user password is disabled for setpoint modifications (refer to
the "user settings" menu), the controller will immediately enter the
setpoints menu.
If the user password is enabled for setpoint modifications, enter
the correct code using the
h
key (refer to the "user password"
menu). Press
j
to confirm the password and to enter the
setpoints menu.
2 Select the setpoint to be adjusted using the
j
key.
A setpoint is selected when the cursor is blinking behind the
setpoint's name.
The ">" sign indicates the actual active temperature setpoint.
3 Press the
h
key to adjust the temperature setting.
The default, limit and step values for the cooling temperature
setpoints are:
– SETP. COOL : default value +12.0°C
limit values
(*)
+7.0 to +25.0°C
step value 0.1°C
(*) For glycol units, the lower limit of the cooling temperature setpoint can be adapted in
the factory to 5°C, 3°C, -2°C, -7°C.
4 Press
j
to save the adjusted temperature setpoint or press
the
z
key to cancel the modification.
When the setting has been confirmed, the cursor switches to the
next setpoint. When the setting has been cancelled, the cursor
returns to the upper left corner of the screen.
5 To adjust other setpoints, repeat from instruction 2 onwards.
