ADVANCED FUNCTIONS 4 DTMF memory operation CONVENIENT Monitoring O Programming a DTMF code The transceiver has 5 DTMF memory channels D1 to D6 for storage of often used DTMF codes of up to 30 digits a DTMF code While in DTMF memory mode push H L DTMF to monitor the selected DTMF channel with out transmitting it Confirming a DTMF code s contents While in DTMF mem ory mode push the A V keys to scroll the displayed digits Push FUNC H L DTMF to enter DTMF memory mode 6 characters to the right or left respectively 2 Rotate DIAL to select the desired channel D Push FUNC SET to enter DTMF programming mode _________ appears Programmed memories can be cleared in this way Push digit keys to enter the desired DTMF code A maximum of 30 digits can be input If a digit is mistakenly input push MR then repeat from step 3 Push H L DTMF to input the digits Push VFO CLR to exit DTMF programming mode О DTMF POWER ON transmit speed When slow DTMF transmission speeds are required such as for some repeaters the transceiver s rate of DTMF transmis sion can be adjusted While pushing SET push POWER for 0 5 sec to enter ini tial set mode 2 Push A or V until DT appears fastest in the display 0 Transmitting a DTMF code D Select the DTMF channel to be transmitted Push FUNC H L DTMF to select DTMF memory mode Rotate DIAL to select the desired DTMF channel 2 Push VFO CLR to exit While pushing PTT push H L DTMF to transmit the pre viously selected DTMF channel s contents Rotate DIAL to select the desired transmission speed 4 speeds are available 100 being the fastest and 500 being the slow est slowest Push VFO CLR to set the condition and exit initial set mode 20
