OTHER FUNCTIONS 5 CPU resetting O If POWER ON When Partial reset you quency want to VFO Optional HM 75A functions initialise settings the set operating mode conditions contents VFO without fre clearing the memory contents message memories etc a partial re setting function is available for the transceiver using an optional HM 75A with the transceiver the switches on the HM 75A function as follows O A SWITCH Toggles the monitor func tion ON and OFF While pushing VFO CLR turn power ON to partially reset B SWITCH Change the transceiver mode between VFO and memory O A V SWITCHES Full reset Reset the the CPU before operating the transceiver for the Change first time or when the internal CPU malfunctions in the selected tuning the frequency steps in VFO mode While pushing FUNC V VFO turn power ON to reset the transceiver Then number of memory channels is set to 40 CAUTION Resetting the contents to their default settings CPU returns Change memory chan nel in memory mode Start programmed scan or memory skip scan when all programmed pushed for 0 5 sec w Adjust the audio level when the monitor function is ON NOTE Switches can be assigned different functions by using microphone simple mode p 34 CAUTION When connecting the HM 75A to the transceiver make sure that power to the transceiver is turned OFF otherwise the CPU may malfunction 36
