Drain piping.
1) Connect the drainhose,asdescribed right.
2) Remove the airfilters and pour some water into the drainpan to check the water
flowssmoothly.
3) If drainhoseextensionorembedded drainpiping is required, useappropriate parts thatmatch the hose front end.

4) When extending thedrain hose, use acommercially available
extensionhose with an inner diameterof16mm.
Be sure to thermally insulate the indoor section of the extension
hose.
5) When connecting arigid polyvinyl chloridepipe
(nominal diameter 13mm) directly to the drain
hose attachedtothe indoor unitaswith embed-
ded piping work, use any commercially available
drainsocket (nominal diameter 13mm) as a
joint.
Refrigerant Piping Work
1.
Flaring the pipe end.
1) Cut thepipe endwith apipe cutter.
2) Removeburrs with the cut surface facing downward
so that thechips do not enter the pipe.
3) Put the flarenut on the pipe.
4) Flare thepipe.
5) Check that the flaring is properly made.
WARNING
1) Do not use mineral oilonflared part.
2) Prevent mineral oilfrom getting into the systemasthis wouldreduce the lifetime of theunits.
3) Never use piping which has beenusedfor previous installations. Only use parts which are delivered with the unit.
4) Do never installadrier to this R410A unit in ordertoguarantee its lifetime.
5) Thedryingmaterial may dissolve and damage the system.
6) Incompleteflaringmay cause refrigerant gas leakage.
