Refrigerant piping.
CAUTION
1) Use theflare nut fixed to the main unit. (Toprevent cracking of theflare nut by aged deterioration.)
2) To prevent gas leakage, apply refrigeration oilonly to the innersurface of the flare.(Use refrigeration oil for R410A.)
3) Usetorquewrencheswhentighteningthe flarenuts to preventdamagetothe flare nuts and gasleakage.
Align thecentresofbothflares and tighten the flare nuts 3or4turns by hand.Then tighten themfully with the torquewrenches.

Cautiononpipinghandling.
1) Protect the openend of thepipeagainst dust and moisture.
2) Allpipebends shouldbeasgentle as possible. Use apipe bender
for bending.

Selection of copper and heat insulation materials.
• When usingcommercial copperpipesand fittings, observe the following:
1) Insulationmaterial: Polyethylene foam
Heattransfer rate: 0.041to0.052W/mK (0.035 to 0.045kcal/(mh•°C))
Refrigerant gaspipe’ssurface temperature reaches 110°Cmax.
Choose heatinsulation materials thatwillwithstand this temperature.
2) Be sure to insulate both the gasand liquid piping and to provide insulation dimen-
sionsasbelow.
3) Use separate thermal insulation pipes for gas andliquid refrigerant pipes.
