CHASSIS 7 38 2 Remove the clips 3 Draw out the pins and removing the springs 4 Remove the pads and shims CALIPER REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY 1 Remove the union bolt and catch the brake fluid in a suita ble receptacle CAUTION Never reuse the brake fluid left over from previous servic ing and stored for long periods WARNING Brake fluid if it leaks will interfere with safe running and discolor painted surfaces Check the brake hose and hose joints for cracks and oil leakage 2 Remove the caliper mounting bolts NOTE Slightly loosen the caliper housing bolts to facilitate later disassembly before removing the caliper mounting bolts 3 Remove the pads Refer to page 7 37 4 Remove the caliper housing bolts and separate the caliper halves 5 Remove the O ring NOTE Once separate the caliper halves replace the O ring with a new one
