INSTALLATION AND HANDLING 3 INSTALLA TION AND HANDLING Installation Since environmental conditions greatly affect performance of the EP5400 avoid installing it in the following locations An area exposed to direct sunlight A place in the direct airstream of an airconditioner heater or ventilator A place where there is poor ventilation or ammonia gas might be generated An area where it might be splashed with water An area which is neither stable nor horizontal A dusty location A location subject to undue vibration A place subjectto sudden fluctuations in eithertemperature or humidity Copy quality might be adversely affected by condensation formed inside the copier under such a condition Space Requirements The minimum space requirements for installation of the EP5400 are as shown in the following illustration 3
