INSTALLATION AND HANDLING Handling the EP5400 Never place heavy objects on the copier or subject it to shocks Insert the plug fully into the electrical outlet Do not remove or open any Covers while using the EP5400 Never unplug or turn OFF the EP5400 while it is in the copy mode When unplugging the power cord do not pull on the cord Grasp the plug and pull it out Never bring any magnetized object near the EP5400 Never use inflammable aerosols or liquids nearthe EP5400 Never place a vessel containing water on the EP5400 Be careful not to drop paperclips or staples into the EP5400 If the EP5400 produces smoke becomes inordinately hot or produces abnormal noises turn it OFF unplug it and then call your local Minolta service representative dealer immediately Turn the EP5400 OFF at the end of the workday or during a power blackout Do not plug the copier into the same power outlet being used for other electrical equipment Request the assistance of yourtechnical representative when transporting the EP5400 over a long distance 4
