39 2 BAISC COPYING PROCEDURE Loading the originals Place a neat stack of originals face down on the Document Feed Tray Then slide the Document Guide Plates so that they just touch the originals Using originals with mixed lengths If your originals have the same width but two different lengths you can use the Universal Document Size Detection Mode For more details see p 98 10760615 Make sure that the top level of the original stack dees not exceed the Max Level Indicator marked on the Document Guide Plate If the Document Guide Plates are not in touch with the edges of the original stack the originals may not be fed in at all or may be fed in askew If you wish to copy simultaneously two one sidod originals sequentially out of an odd number of originals onto one side of a single sheet of paper Dual Original Scanning Mode add a blank sheet of paper to the last of the original set
