VP-771 - Getting Started
2 Getting Started
We recommend that you:
Unpack the equipment carefully and save the original box and packaging
materials for possible future shipment
Review the contents of this user manual
Go to http://www.kramerav.com/downloads/VP-771 to check for up-to-date
user manuals, application programs, and to check if firmware upgrades are
available (where appropriate).
2.1 Achieving the Best Performance
To achieve the best performance:
Use only good quality connection cables (we recommend Kramer high-
performance, high-resolution cables) to avoid interference, deterioration in
signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise levels (often
associated with low quality cables)
Do not secure the cables in tight bundles or roll the slack into tight coils
Avoid interference from neighboring electrical appliances that may adversely
influence signal quality
Position your Kramer VP-771 away from moisture, excessive sunlight and
dust
This equipment is to be used only inside a building. It may only be
connected to other equipment that is installed inside a building.
2.2 Safety Instructions
Caution:
There are no operator serviceable parts inside the unit
Warning:
Warning:
You use only the power cord that is supplied with the unit.
Do not open the unit. High voltages can cause electrical
shock! Servicing by qualified personnel only.
Warning:
Disconnect the power and unplug the unit from the wall
before installing

- Letting the main window image show the higher the luminance the less transparent it 49
- Location and then turn luma keying on the pip image will show without its 49
- Recommended to set the pip image as follows use low luminance colors for the 49
- The lower the luminance in the pip window the more transparent it becomes thus 49
- The luma keying feature 49
- The luma keying feature lets you display the pip window the key image as semi 49
- To apply the luma keying feature first set the pip window to the desired size and 49
- Transparent background 49
- Transparent over the main window this feature can be used to have the pip 49
- We recommend that you activate luma keying after completing the setup 49
- When the luma keying feature is on any change in the setup either by the user or by resetting due to a setup change may cause the screen to flicker once the luma keying will recover automatically after resetting 49
