Installing a SATA Storage Drive

The DA-685 embedded computer features a single SATA connector for SATA storage drives. To install a

2.5-inch SATA storage drive (SSD or HDD) a DA-685 storage drive mounting assembly must be acquired (it is

not included in the basic DA-685 packaging). To install a storage drive, follow these instructions:

1. Disconnect the DA-685 from its power source

2. Open the top cover of the

DA-685; the following

figure shows the specific

location where the storage

drive will be mounted:

3. Retrieve the mounting

bracket from the storage

drive mounting kit and

affix it to the drive via the

bracket’s side panels,

using two screws:

4. Connect the power cable

and the SATA cable to the

storage drive:

5. Place the drive bracket

into the mounting space;

fasten the bracket to the

case using four screws,

one on each corner
