Step 6: An additional grounding point is available on the rack extension panel. To use the extension panel’s

grounding point, place the mounting ring of the ground wire over the threaded M6 grounding stud. Next, place

the flat washer and S-type washer over the grounding stud, and use the M6 nut to fasten the ground wire to

the stud.

ATTENTION

For maximum safety, at least two persons should work together to lift, place, and

fasten the

computer to the

rack.

Before you lift or move the computer,

first verify both it and any power to the rack system is turned off.

You may now install the computer on a full 19” rack. After installing the standard rack mounting assembly

(ears, handles), four screws will be required to fasten the TC-6110 to a rack.

Wiring Requirements

The following common safety precautions should be observed before installing any electronic device:

• Strive to use separate, non-intersecting paths to route power and networking wires. If power cables must

be laid or mounted across communications cables, make sure the wires are perpendicular and well insulated

at the point of intersection.

• Keep the wires separated according to interface. The rule of thumb is that wiring which shares similar

electrical characteristics may be bundled together.

• Do not bundle input wiring with output wiring.

• When necessary, it is strongly advised that you label all wires in the system.

ATTENTION

Do not run signal or communication wiring and power wiring in the same conduit. To avoid interference, wires

with different signal characteristics

(i.e., different interfaces) should be routed separately.
