CAUTION: ANTI-DRIP SYSTEM
Please ensure that the lid is on the pot. This activates the
so-called anti-drip system.
• Your device has an anti-drip system. If the pot is
removed before all of the water has passed through
the fi lter, this prevents the coffee from dripping on to
the base.
• If there is still water in the tank, place the pot under-
neath as soon as possible. Otherwise the fi lter might
overfl ow.
• Turn the device on.
Switching on the coffee machine directly
Please follow the instructions under points „Preparing the Coffee
Machine“.
Press the ON/OFF button once. The red RUN light (for immedi-
ate percolation) illuminates and the device is switched on.
NOTE:
• The unit switches itself off automatically about two hours
after the brewing.
• The unit is switched off when both LEDs are off.
• If you wish to switch the unit off manually or to deactivate
the timer, press the ON/OFF button repeatedly until both
LEDs go out.
Automatic operation
Please follow the instructions under points „Preparing the Coffee
Machine“.
1. Press the PROG button once. “TIMER” appears in the
display.
2. Set the hours: press the “HOUR” button.
3. Set the minutes: press the “MIN” button.
4. In order to leave the adjustment mode press the PROG but-
ton once or wait for 10 seconds.
5. If you have programmed the device, press the ON/OFF
button twice. The green LED lights up next to AUTO (auto-
matic). The device switches itself on at the set time (the red
light is on).
6. If you wish to switch the unit off manually or to deactivate
the timer, press the ON/OFF button repeatedly until both
LEDs go out.
NOTE:
The brewing process lasts approximately 10-15 minutes
7. When no more coffee is fl owing through the fi lter you can
remove the pot.
8. Turn the device off.
Would you like to keep the remaining coffee warm? Leave the
machine switched on until the pot is empty.
NOTE:
The fi lter holder can be removed from the machine by its
handle. This makes it easier to dispose of the old coffee fi lter,
for example.
De-scaling
• De-scaling is necessary when the brewing time increases
substantially. De-scaling is necessary when the brewing
time increases substantially.
• Use only commercially available citrus acid-based de-scaler.
Follow the recommended instructions for use.
WARNING:
• Afterwards you should boil fresh water in the pot three or
four times in order to rinse out residues of the descaling
agent.
• Do not use any coffee powder!
• Do not use this water for consumption.
Cleaning
WARNING:
• Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug and wait
until the device has cooled down.
• Do not immerse the device in water. Otherwise this might
result in an electric shock or fi re.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• The exterior of the device should be cleaned as necessary
with a slightly damp cloth – without any additives.
• The coffee pot and the fi lter pad should be cleaned by rins-
ing in warm water. Use a soft brush if necessary.
