■ LOADDOWN (DWN – refer to the thermostat parameters): starts
counting when a thermostat step change has occurred. During
the countdown, the unit will not be able to go to a lower
thermostat step.
■ FLOWSTART (FLOWSTART – 15 sec): counts down when the
water flow through the evaporator is continuous and the unit is
in standby. During the countdown, the unit cannot start up.
■ FLOWSTOP (FLOWSTOP – 5 sec): starts counting when the
water flow through the evaporator stops after the flowstart timer
has reached zero. If the water flow has not restarted during the
countdown, the unit will shut down.
■ STARTTIMER (COMPR. STARTED – 5 sec): starts counting
whenever a compressor starts up. During the countdown, no
other compressor can start up.
■ GUARDTIMER 1/2/3 (GRD1,2,3 – 60 sec): starts counting when
the compressor of circuit 1, respectively circuits 2 and 3, has
been shut down. During the countdown, the compressor cannot
be restarted.
■ ANTIRECYCLING 1/2/3 (AREC1,2,3 – 240 sec): starts counting
when the compressor of circuit 1, respectively circuits 2 and 3,
has started. During the countdown, the compressor cannot be
restarted.
To check the actual value of the software timers, proceed as follows:
1 Press the
r
key to enter the timers menu.
The controller displays the actual value of the GENERAL TIMERS: the
loadup timer, the loaddown timer, the flowstart timer, the flowstop
timer (when the unit is on and the flowstart timer has reached zero)
and the starttimer.
2 Press the
x
key to check the remaining timers.
The controller shows the actual value of the COMPRESSOR TIMERS:
the guard timers (one per circuit) and the antirecycling timers (one
per circuit).
Tasks of the safeties menu
Listing activated safeties and checking the unit status
If the alarm buzzer is activated and the user presses the
g
key, the
controller automatically enters the safeties menu.
■ The controller will enter the UNIT SAFETY screen of the safeties
menu when a unit safety was the cause of shutdown. This
screen provides the following information:
– the activated safety: reverse phase protector or flow switch,
– the unit status at the moment of shutdown: the inlet water
temperature and the ambient temperature.
■ The controller will enter the C1, C2 or C3 SAFETY screen of the
safeties menu when a safety of circuit 1, respectively circuit 2
or 3 was activated. These screens provide information about
the circuit status at the moment of shutdown: the circuit outlet
water temperature, the inlet water temperature and the ambient
temperature. The controller cannot indicate the activated safety
since all safeties of a circuit are connected in series.
1 Press the
g
key when the alarm buzzer is activated.
The appropriate safety screen appears.
2 If more than one screen is available (indicated by means of a,
z or e), use the
h
key to consult them.
Consulting the limit values
Correct operation of the unit can only be guaranteed if the limits for
outlet water temperature, inlet water temperature and ambient
temperature are respected. These limits are according to factory
settings and can only be consulted if the safeties menu is
accessible.
To consult the limit values, proceed as follows:
1 Enter the safeties menu using the
g
key.
2 Press
j
to enter the TEMPERATURE LIMITS screen.
The controller automatically returns to the safety screen after
20 seconds.
Tasks of the history menu
Checking the safety-info and the unit status after a reset
The information available in the safeties menu is also stored in the
history menu, where it is stored after resetting the unit or the circuit.
In this way, the history menu provides a means of checking the unit
status at the moment of the latest shutdowns.
To check the safety info and the unit status, proceed as follows:
1 Press the
t
key to enter the history menu.
The controller enters the UNIT HISTORY screen which contains the
following information: the number of shutdowns, the unit safety
which caused the most recent shutdown and the unit status at the
moment of this shutdown.
2 Press
h
to consult the C1, C2 or C3 SAFETY screens.
These history screens contain the following information: the
number of circuit 1 (2 or 3) shutdowns and the circuit status at the
most recent shutdown.
Tasks of the info menu
Consulting additional unit information
1 Press the
y
key to enter the info menu.
The controller enters the UNIT INFORMATION screen which contains
the following information: the unit name, the refrigerant used and
the manufacturing (serial) number.
2 Press
x
to consult the second UNIT INFORMATION screen.
This screen contains information about the controller's software
version.
Tasks of the input/output menu
Checking the status of the inputs and outputs
The input/output menu provides a means of checking the status of
the digital inputs and the status of the relay outputs.
The digital inputs are:
■ SAFETY 1 (2 or 3): indicates whether or not one of the circuit
safeties is activated.
■ FLOWSWITCH: indicates the status of the flowswitch: activated or
de-activated.
■ DUAL SETPOINT: indicates the position of the remote dual setpoint
switch: setpoint 1 or setpoint 2.
■ REM. START/STOP: indicates the position of the remote on/off
switch.
■ REV. PHASE PR.: indicates whether or not the reverse phase
protector is activated.
