SYMPTOM
3. The unit does not start and the ON
LED does not light up
4. One of the circuits does not start
up
5. One of the following safety devices
is activated
Overcurrent relay of compressor
Low pressure switch or anti-freeze
alarm
High-pressure switch
POSSIBLE CAUSES
a. All circuits are in failure mode.
b. One of the following safety devices is
activated:
- Reverse phase protector (R1P)
- Flow switch (S10L)
c. The ON LED is broken.
a. One of the following safety devices is
activated:
- Overcurrent relay (K*S)
- Discharge thermal protector (Q*D)
- Evaporating temperature
thermostat (S*T)
- Flow switch (S10L)
- High pressure switch (S*HP)
- Reverse phase protector (R1P)
b. The anti-recycling timer is still active.
c. The guard timer is still active.
d. The circuit is disabled due to a too low
outlet water temperature.
a. Failure of one of the phases.
b. Voltage too low.
c. Overload of motor.
a. Water flow to water heat exchanger
too low.
b. Shortage of refrigerant.
c. Unit is working out of its operation
range.
d. Inlet temperature to the water heat
exchanger is too low.
e. Flow switch is not working or no water
flow.
a. Condenser fan does not operate
properly.
b. Dirty or partially blocked condenser.
c. Inlet air temperature of the condenser
is too high.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
a. Refer to symptom "5. One of the
safety devices is activated".
b. Refer to symptom "5. One of the
safety devices is activated".
c. Contact your local Daikin dealer.
a. Check on the controller and refer to
symptom "5. One of the safety devices
is activated".
b. The circuit can only start up after
approximately 4 minutes.
c. The circuit can only start up after
approximately 1 minute.
d. After temperature rise, the circuit will
be enabled automatically.
a. Check fuses on the supply panel or
measure the supply voltage.
b. Measure the supply voltage.
c. Reset. If the failure persists, call your
local Daikin dealer.
Push the red button on the over-
current relay inside the switch box and
reset the controller.
a. Increase the water flow.
b. Check for leaks and refill refrigerant, if
necessary.
c. Check the operation conditions of the
unit.
d. Increase the inlet water temperature.
e. Check the flow switch and the water
pump.
After pressure rise, the low pressure
switch resets automatically, but the
controller still needs to be reset.
a. Check that the fans turn freely. Clean
if necessary.
b. Remove any obstacle and clean con-
denser coil using brush and blower.
c. The air temperature measured at the
inlet of the condenser should not
exceed 43°C.
After pressure decrease, the high
pressure switch resets automatically,
but the controller still needs to be
reset.
