Readthissectiontolearnhowtoaddnew
contacts to your phonebook
Adding a new entry
Use the Add function to add a new contact to
yourphonebook.
To add a new entry:
1. Fromthemainmenu,selectContacts >
Add, OR
Onthephone’sstandbymode,entera
telephonenumberusingthekeypad,then
presstheleftsoftkey toselectSave.
2. Selectthestoragelocation.SelectSIM or
PhonethenpressOK.
NOTE:Ifyouchoosetoaddthenewentrytothephone,itwill
not appear in the phonebook if you transfer your SIM card to
anotherphone.IfyouchoosetoaddthenewentrytotheSIM
card,youcanaddonlyanameandanumber.
3. Enteranameandnumberusingthe
keypad.Ifyouareaddingthenewentry
tothephone,youcanalsoaddahome
number,ofcenumber,faxnumber,
companyname,e-mailaddress,and
an associated picture, sound, or videopicture, sound, or videosound, or video
storedinthephonememory.Youcan
alsoputthecontactinacallergroup.
NOTE:Youcancontrolwhicheldsareavailableforcontact
entries in Contacts > Settings > Fields.Seethesection
“ContactsSettings”inthischapterformoreinformation.
Searching for a contact
Readthissectiontolearnhowtosearchfor
contactsinyourphonebook.
Quick Find
FollowthesestepstoperformaQuick Find
search:
1. Fromthemainmenu,selectContacts
> Quick Find.Enteranameusingthe
keypad.Youdonotneedtotypeawhole
name.Enteraninitialletter,thenuse
thenavigationkeystoscrollthroughthe
contacts.
OR:Onstandbymode,selectName at
the bottom right corner of the screen by
pressing the right soft key .
Alistofallthecontactsinyour
phonebookisdisplayedinalphabetical
order.
2. Usethenavigationkeystohighlighta
contact.
NOTE:Pressingthevolumnkeysontheleftsideofthehandset
allowsyoutoscrollpageup/down.
3. Presstheenterkeytoviewdetailsabout
acontact.
