Messages
Sending an SMS message
To send an SMS message:
1. Fromthe text entry screen, selectthetextentryscreen,select
Options > Send or press either the call
keyortheenterkey.
2. The Send to options require that youTheSendtooptionsrequirethatyou
typeinatelephonenumber,searchfora
contactinthephonebook,orselectone
fromtherecentlysendnumberlist.
3. Ifyouchoosetotypeinaphone
number, press the enter key to send the
message.Ifyouselectacontactfrom
thephonebookorfromthe recently sendtherecentlysend
numberlist, press, press OK > Yes.
4. Ifyouwanttosendthemessageto
multiplereceivers,selectOptions >
Send to Many > Add Number, then
repeat step 2 and 3 with the exception
thatyoucheckmultiplecontactsin
thephonebook.Youcanalsohighlight
<Empty> under the Send to Many menu
and press either Options > Edit or
theenterkeytoenterphonenumbers.
Repeatthisprocesstocreatealistof
receivers, then press either Options >
Send Now or the call key to send
themessage.
Common Words
The common words feature contains common
textphrasesthatyoucanconvenientlyinsert
toyourmessage.Thereare10presetcommon
wordsphrasethatyoucanuseoredit.Toadda
common words phrase to an SMS:
1. BeginanSMSmessageasdescribed
intheprevioussection,“Composingan
SMSMessage.”
2. Beforetypinganytext,presstheleftsoft
key todisplaytheOptionsmenu.
3. Usethenavigationkeystohighlightthe
Common Words option, then press OK
toconrm.
4. Usethenavigationkeystohighlightthe
commonwordsphraseyouwouldliketo
add, then press OKtoconrm.
Thetextfromthetemplateappearsin
themessage.Youcanaddtothetext,or
edit the text before sending or saving the
message.
5. Sendorsavethemessage.
To edit a phrase in Common Words:
1. Fromthemainscreen,selectMessages
> SMS > Common Wordstodisplaythe
commonwordslist.
2. Usethenavigationkeystohighlighta
common words phrase to edit, then press
OKtoconrm.
3. SelecttheEdit option to modify the
wording,orselectDeletetoclearit
completely.
Theeditscreendisplaysthephraseyouchose
andletsyouchangeit.
