computer.UsetheHandsetManagerto
sendlesfromyourcomputertoyourphone,
includingmusic,ringtones,pictures,andjava
games.Stayorganizedbymanagingand
synchronizingyourphone’scontactsand
calendarwithyourcomputer.Composetextand
multimediamessagesquicklyandcomfortably
on your computer, then transfer them to your
phonetosend.
This user guide gives an introduction to
basicfunctionsoftheHandsetManager.For
additionalinformation,consulttheonlinehelp
lesincludedwiththeHandsetManager.
Installing the Handset Manager
Ensurethatthefollowingsystemrequirements
are met:
Software:
• Microsoft
®
Windows
®
2000 or above
system
Hardware:
• USB2.0port
• CD-ROMdriver
Youcanalsoeditvoicemaildetailsorconnect
toavoicemailaccounthere.
NOTE:Voicemailisaserviceproviderfeature.Contactyour
serviceproviderforvoicemailnumbersandsettingsorother
voicemailassistance.
ToinstalltheHandsetManagersoftware:
1. InsertthesoftwareCDintoyour
computertostartinstallation.
2. Onthestart-uppage,selectthemobile
phonemodelandinterfaceyouwishto
install.
3. Turnonthephoneandconnectittothe
computerusingthesuppliedUSBcable.
When you turn on the phone, the phone
promptsyoutoselectatypeofUSB
connection.Presstheleftsoftkey.
4. ClickInstallHandsetManager.
NOTES:
• Makesurethemobilephoneisswitchedonandcorrectly
connectedwiththeUSBdatacablebeforeinstallation.
• MostsystemsalreadysupportUSB.However,ifyour
systemdoesnot,installaUSBdriverbeforeinstallingthe
HandsetManagersoftware.
• Touninstallsoftware,clicktheAdd/RemoveProgramsicon
inthecontrolpanel.SelecttheAsusZ801
USB-HandsetManagerfromthelist.ClicktheRemove
buttonandfollowtheinstructionsonscreen.
Starting the Handset Manager
To start the Handset Manager:
1. ConnectyourhandsettoaUSBporton
yourcomputerusingthesuppliedUSB
datacable,thenturnonyourhandset.
2. Alistofconnectiontypesappearsinthe
handsetwindow.Press the left soft key.Presstheleftsoftkey.
