11 22 SUSPENSION Uni trak Maintenancce Check the uni trak component parts for wear peri odically or whenever excessive play is suspected Place the jack stand special tool under the frame so that the rear wheel is raised off the ground Push and pull on the swing arm up and down to check for wear A small amount of play on the swing arm is normal and no corrective action is needed However if excessive play is felt remove the uni trak parts from the frame and check for wear Sleeve Pull out the sleeve of the rocker arm and measure the outside diameter of the sleeve If the sleeve is worn past the service limit replace the sleeve A Sleeves Sleeve Outside Diameter Service Limit A bent bolt causes vibration poor handling and instability To measure bolt runout remove the bolt place it in V blocks and set a dial gauge to the bolt at a point halfway between the blocks Turn the bolt to measure the runout The amount of dial variation is the amount of runout A Turn A Swing Arm Standard Rocker Arm Mounting Bolt Bend 21 987 22 000 mm 21 85 mm If runout exceeds the service limit replace the bolt Bolt Runout Standard under 0 1 mm Service Limit 0 2 mm
