Youmayinstall1GB,2GB,4GB,and8GBunbufferednon-ECCDDR3DIMMsintotheDIMM
sockets.
• YoumayinstallvaryingmemorysizesinChannelAandChannelB.Thesystem
mapsthetotalsizeofthelower-sizedchannelforthedual-channelconguration.Any
excessmemoryfromthehigher-sizedchannelisthenmappedforsingle-channel
operation.
• AlwaysinstallDIMMswiththesameCASlatency.Foroptimalcompatibility,we
recommendthatyouinstallmemorymodulesofthesameversionordatecode(D/C)
fromthesamevendor.Checkwiththeretailertogetthecorrectmemorymodules.
• Memorymodulewithmemoryfrequencyhigherthan2133MHzanditscorresponding
timingortheloadedXMPProleisnottheJEDECmemorystandard.Thestabilityand
compatibilityofthesememorymodulesdependontheCPU'scapabilitiesandother
installeddevices.
• DuetoIntel®chipsetlimitation,DDR31600MHzandhighermemorymoduleson

• ThismotherboarddoesnotsupportDIMMsmadeupof512Mb(64MB)chipsorless.
• ThedefaultmemoryoperationfrequencyisdependentonitsSerialPresenceDetect
(SPD),whichisthestandardwayofaccessinginformationfromamemorymodule.
Underthedefaultstate,somememorymodulesforoverclockingmayoperateata
lowerfrequencythanthevendor-markedvalue.Tooperateatthevendor-marked
oratahigherfrequency,refertosection2.4 Ai Tweaker menu for manual memory
frequencyadjustment.
• Forsystemstability,useamoreefcientmemorycoolingsystemtosupportafull
memoryload(2DIMMs)oroverclockingcondition.
