III. TO CLEAN THE APPLIANCE
General Guidelines
Prior to rst use or in order to remove the odor after cooking, steam half
a lemon for 15 minutes using “ОВОЩИ НА ПАРУ program (pressure
cooker mode).
Do not leave cooking bowl with foods or liquids inside closed pressure
multicooker for over 24 hours. Store cooked dish in the fridge and reheat
when needed, using “Reheat” function.
Unplug the appliance from outlet when not in use for a long period of
time. Ensure that cooking chamber, heating disk, bowl, inner lid, steam
valve, and condensation collector are dry and clean.
Before you start cleaning the appliance, make sure that it is unplugged
and has cooled down. Use soft cloth and mild soap to clean.
DO NOT use a sponge or tissue with hard or abrasive surface (unless otherwise
specied in this user manual), or abrasive pastes. Do not use any chemically
aggressive substances or any other agents which are not recommended for
cleaning items that come into contact with food.
DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or wash it under running water!
Be careful when cleaning rubber parts of the pressure multicooker, because
damaged or deformed parts may lead to malfunction of the unit.
Clean the housing of the appliance as needed. The bowl, inner aluminum lid,
and removable steam valve need to be cleaned after each use. Condensate,
accumulating during cooking needs to be removed after each use. Clean the
walls of the cooking chamber as needed.
To Clean the Housing
Use soft damp cloth or sponge to clean the housing. If needed, use a mild soap
solution and wipe the surface of the housing dry to remove soap residue and
water spots.
To Clean the Bowl
Wash the bowl by hand, using soft sponge and mild soap, or in a dishwasher
(following its manufacturer’s recommendations).
If necessary, ll the bowl with warm water, let soak for a while, and clean.
Wipe the outer surface of the bowl dry, before placing it back inside the pressure
multicooker.
When pressure multicooker is used on a regular basis, inner non-stick coating
of the bowl may partially or completely change color, which does not indicate
a defect.
To Clean Removable Inner Lid, Steam Release Valve, and Safety
Lid Lock
It is recommended to clean removable inner lid, steam release valve, and
safety lid lock after each use:
1. Open the main lid. Carefully unscrew central retaining nut located on the
inner side of the main lid by turning it counterclockwise. Remove inner
lid.
2. Steam release valve is located on the removable inner lid and consists of
2 parts. To clean the valve, carefully turn its plastic cover (located on the
inner side of removable lid) counterclockwise and remove, leaving the
locking ball inside.
3. Rinse the removable lid, sealing ring, plastic cover and the locking ball of
the steam release valve, and safety lid lock cylinder, under running water
using mild soap.
4.
To clean thoroughly, disassemble the steam valve, by unscrewing its
metal cover (located on the outer side of removable lid). Use a needle or
a thin wire to clean the steam outlet, if required.
5. Safety lid lock cylinder is designed to have free movement. If it does not,
clean the lock (do not remove!).
6. By the end of cleaning wipe all the parts dry and reassemble the valve in
reverse order of disassembly.
To Clean the Protective Cover of the Steam Release Valve
For added safety, steam release outlet is covered by a special plastic protective
cover, preventing powerful bursts of steam or liquids. Clean the cover as needed:
1. Remove protective cover and disassemble into 2 parts.
2. Rinse both parts and get dry.
3.
Reassemble protective cover in reverse order of disassembly and position
back into place.
To Remove Condensate
Condensation collector, located on the side of the housing, needs to be cleaned
after each use:
1. Carefully pull container, holding it by the ange, to remove.
2. Pour out condensate and rinse the collector.
3. Position condensation collector back into place.
Condensation may also accumulate in the special cavity around the bowl. Use
cloth or tissue to remove.
To Clean Cooking Chamber
Compliance with the user manual guidelines minimizes the risk of food particles
or liquids accumulating inside the cooking chamber.
However, if the inside of the chamber gets dirty, clean it to prevent improper
operation or malfunction of the unit.
Before cleaning cooking chamber ensure, that pressure multicooker is unplugged
and has cooled down!
Walls of the cooking chamber, surface of the heating disk, and the cover of
central thermal sensor (located in the middle of the heating disk) need to be
cleaned with a damp (not wet!) sponge or cloth. Remove any traces of soap or
detergent if using any to prevent extraneous odors during cooking.
If there is a foreign object in the cavity around central thermal sensor, care-
fully remove it using tweezers, trying to avoid pressing on the cover of the
sensor.
