ECDIS Mode Brightness Adjustment
This button lets users switch among ECDIS-stipulated DAY, DUSK,
and NIGHT modes; it is only available for ECDIS type approved
models. On standard models, the button and all ECDIS-related
controls are disabled.
Please note that use of this feature will reset the current brightness
settings, and will take precedence over any other display settings.
Storage
A storage indicator is located next to the controls. When data is being accessed the icon will blink
red.
NOTE The MPC-2240 can also be controlled using commands over the UART interface; refer to
Appendix B: U
ART
Commands for Display Control for a detailed list of the available commands, and how to use them.
Connecting Data Transmission Cables
This section describes how to connect the MPC-2240 panel computer to serial devices and the network.
Connecting to the Network
Plug your network cable into the MPC-2240 SeriesEthernet port. The other end of the cable should be plugged
into your Ethernet network. When the cable is properly connected, the LEDs on the embedded computer’s
Ethernet port will glow to indicate a valid connection. See the following figure for the location of the Ethernet
ports.
The 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet LAN port uses 8-pin RJ45 connectors. The following diagram shows the
pinouts and the descriptions for these ports.
