Sampling
This function lets you record your own sounds via a microphone.
Once it is recorded, the resulting “sample” can be played at various pitches from a keyboard.
Recording a Sample
1-4 Use the same operation as in “Setting up” (page 32).
5 Press the [SOUND CREATOR] button.
6 Select “SAMPLING.”
7 Select “RECORDING.”
8 Press the [NEXT] button.
9 Set the key range to which the new sample will be assigned.
10 Press the [NEXT] button twice to call up the sample
recording display.

- To better understand how trigger level works let s look at a specific example sampling of the phrase a one and a two in this phrase one and two are louder than the other words since the first a is lower than the trigger level the psr 9000 doesn t actually start sampling until the word one if you want the phrase to be sampled from the first word the trigger level should be set lower with this new trigger level setting the entire phrase will be sampled be careful however not to set the trigger level too low or else sampling may start from some accidental or extraneous sound such as breathing noises touching the microphone etc 73
